Top and Tail Bowl

I just wondered... what is the purpose of a Top and Tail bowl. I'm just looking at the bathing sets and they all have them. What are they for?

xx

Most people say they're a waste of money and any bowl will do just as well but I figured they're normally only about £3 so why not!

I had a top and tail bowl for my oldest son (now 9) which came with the bath and potty. I used one side when changing his nappy and the other side to wash his face and hands afterwards. I never bothered with it for my other 2 sons though.

I think they're a waste of money, just use any bowl.. also the one we had was way too big. Baby baths are a waste too. We bought both when we were pregnant and silly lol.

I like the look of these that you put inside your own bath, It leaves both your hands free.

Has anyone used one of these and would recommend them?

the only downside of getting things that go in your normal bath is that you use more water. And i pay my water by cubic metre. not by a set payment. Not that it ever costs much but you know what i mean. Atleast in a baby bath you only have to use as much water as goes into the baby bath

I've got a bath from Mamas and Papas, it allows you to have both hands free. This was a god send with my daughter, and can't wait to re-use it, just need a jug to fill it up. Though it doesn't fit in the bath which is a pain.
Kerry
ps: Never used my top and tail bowl, just had a new bowl for the sink, which was fine.
