So theres this stupid thing I want to do....

Two of my favorite bands are coming around on the 6th of December.

I've decided I AM going.

I'm also buying Floor tickets (I love rock concerts and sitting the entire time just doesn't make sense)

I intend to bring it up with my doc next visit, but yeah, I'm going to be 5+ months pregnant, on the floor of a Shinedown/Papa Roach show.

I am stupid.

BTW, I had a thread long ago concerning my gender scan and such, I'm getting one the 18th and they said they will tell me the gender if I ask.

Which obviously I will.

Hi

I would STRONGLY suggest that you get a seat its hard to tell how your going to be at 5 months but more than likly your going to be tired and standing up that long even dancing is going to kill.

I went to see pink and got a a seat which meant i could get up and boogie if i wanted and could sit when i needed to.

(had back problems at the time so standing a long time was not good)

Also you might find that there will be a crush of people around the stage.

Have a good time

If your driving to the venue also check to see if they will let you have a special parking space as usualy these are not all used and near to the venue.

I agree with loopy_lou. I'm sure there will be mosh pits if your on the floor and I know how those goes. I doubt you won't be bumped a few times or more maybe even kicked as some people love to throw their legs around.

I'm going to see Wolfmother with hubby in January. I had to get standing because it seemed a shame to buy him tix to see a band just to make him sit down. I fully intend to stand waaaay at the back and wear a big coat so I can sit down on it if I need to

Hey! well im all for going to concerts and stuff while pregnant but you gotta be sensible too? My sister went to gig on the green before it became download when marilyn manson and eminem were on. She got totally squashed nobody had any regard for her obviously pregnant state because everyone was too busy jumping around pushing to the front and throwing things. we were like sardines in a tin me and my other sister had to stand on either side of her taking all the elbows of other people digging into us and get shuved and pushed. I see why seats may not appeal to you but your pregnant and you have to think of the safety of your child first especially at a rock concert. its not going to be forever and how would you feel if you did get hurt? im not having a go i just think when your pregnant you have to make compromises.....however you seem to have your mind made up so i hope you enjoy it and stay safe. I wouldnt put myself in that postion but everyone to there own you can only go on what you think is right i just think its a bit mad knowingly going into that kinda atmosphere knowing it could be potientally dangerous

xx

I'm going to see Rammstein next week with standing tickets next week and I'm four months. However, I'm going to be on the sidelines this time, rather than right in it! I'd say go for it, enjoy it, but just don't go mad. Mosh pits are well unpredictable and you dont want to be in a situtation where you're getting squashed and panicky. It just wouldn't be worth all that.

I'm gonna focus getting some good pics this time round. My biggest whinge about it is that I can't go get tanked up on booze before hand :'(

I went to see Coheed and cambria at about 5 months pregnant and it was fine, Seth kicked the whole way through.

I didnt get seated tickets, but my back and feet started to ache, I couldn't get close because of people pushing and I was just generally miserable, so I asked a bouncer if there was anywhere I could go to watch instead. He let us onto this balcony which was ace, we could see really well and dance, but also was seats.

I dont think everyones the same but I was pretty tired the whole time I was pregnant. If you're gonna go, be sensible and make sure that IF you feel pushed around or tired, that theres somewhere to go instead of just floor.

xx

I love going to shows and being in the midst of the madness close to the stage, but I've passed up a few good ones recently because of the bump. Is it really worth getting an elbow to the belly or someone thrown out of a pit at you? I figure these bands are not as important as my bean, but maybe I'm just getting old

I agree with those who say get a seat. I have been to a few concerts, my last one was Paramore, I was standing and it was beyond crazy. Everyone was pushing and jabbing, I even ended up holding some girls hand that I didn't even know! Also at one part of the show people started pushing real hard and it had a domino affect about 30 people went crashing down, they started grabbing on to others to hold on, bringing them down too, I started to go down and I was really scared but luckily my boyfriend yanked me up just before I fell....I lost my shoe I just think you would be safer in a seat.
