what can i take for cold/flu?

are we only allowed paracetamol? ive got a thumping headache, sinus pain, cough & blocked nose & paracetamol is rubbish.

Any advice??..

Im in exact same boat. swollen glands, stuffy sinus, ear aches, headaches and blocked nose and throat dunno if there much we can take
just gunna rest up, plenty fluids and keep myself warm
MIGHT go to GP on tuesday if not getting any better

I really dont think there is anything we're allowed in pregnancy

Just try and drink lots of water, hope you feel better soon

paracetamol is rubbish!! im used to nurofen and sudafed for colds lol! i take panadol even though its just paracetamol its faster absorbed i think its a bit better than normal paracetamol but that might be in my headlol!

i was going to go to the doctors tomorrow but i doubt it will make any difference if we aint allowed anything else anyway! I'm never normally ill so trust me to be ill when i cant take anything for it!!

Hun ive been ill for the last 3 days toowith exactly the same. I agree that paracetamol does sweet FA! Just have to try to get through it. I was lucky enough to get about an hours sleep this afternoon, and miraculously when I woke up I felt 10 times better, so hopefully im getting over it now. Usually only lasts a few days.

Paracetamol is about the height of it. When I had a real bad cold a few weeks ago, thats all I was allowed to take. Although for the sore chest and sore throat I put some honey and lemon into boiling water and drank it 3 times aday and it def soothed it.

ive had the cough for 3 weeks & a slight cold but yesterday it was awful & its still the same today! I'll try the honey & lemon drink tomorrow, worth a try, thanks everyone

ive got a viral infection...ended up at docs on sat...feel like im dying since ive been pregnant this time round there is not 1 day where ive felt 100% but this as got to be the worse so far.

i have a really bad cough aches all over..bangin head and sickness...i have been told by my nan to go holland and barrets or any herbal shop and get some cough sweets that work wonders there called jakemans cough n chest sweets im going to get some tomoz im also going in chemist to speak to a pharmacist see if theres anything i can have surley not everything is harmful to the baby
