| Crushed Organs?? Or something else?? Heya all. Has anyone experienced crushed organs because of bubs?? I'm not sure if this is all it is or if it is something else entirely. Since yesterday morning I've been getting extreme discomfort in an organ in my lower right abdomen (def not stretching pains). Not sure what organs it might be...kidney? Liver? Bladder? Apendix? It is extremely sore when I get up after sitting down. I am fine while sitting, fine when walking/standing, there is no pain to press the area and no pain when I go to the bathroom to pee (unless it was already hurting before I sat down on the toilet). I noticed it was happening in bed last night too, when getting up after being slightly curled over. Other times I got up after being laid stretched out, I was fine.
I am wondering if it is baby crushing an organ? It only hurts once I've been sitting, curled up or bent over and the pain is extreme sorness/discomfort. Once I stand up, it takes a few minutes to disappear.
I am 19+5 days and belly hasn't popped out properly yet...so maybe baby has less room in there? Has anyone else had this or similar? Should I be worried it might be something other than baby?
Thanks! | | | | Status: Offline

| Didnt wanna read and run, I used to get alot of sharp shooting pains about 5 weeks ago, and I foned midwife to see what i should do. She came out and gave me the once over to make sure everything was ok.
So thats my only suggestion, give MW a ring, tell her about what all it feels like and then take it from there, if shes worried she will get u up to hospital etc.
Hope it all gets sorted out x | | | | Status: Offline

| hiya misstanya - try giving 0845 46 47 (NHS direct) a call...they can give you reassurance that, things are ok, or if they feel you need to see someone today. even if you had a MW, one like mine would be of no use, cos there are 7 of them, but they only work one day a week each, although there is at least one available mon-fri 8-6pm, and then switch off their mobiles! - i wish i was with a different nhs trust! | | | | Status: Offline

| It sounds exactly like what i was getting! Its just from your uterus growing and being tight then when you stand up you stretch it out and it causes pain! I dont think at 19 weeks baby is big enough to squash your organs and they'll definately still have enough room in there....regardless of how much ur tummy has or hasnt popped out.
Sorry if that doesnt make sense but id definately say its ur uterus! If you're worried call the midwife xx | | | | Status: Offline

| Thanks Vinnypeanut. I hope you are right.
Hehehe...I was googling gallbladder stones, kidney stone, apendicitis, urine infections etc last night! I don't think it is any of those, but god it is PAINFUL when I stand up!!! Feels like an organ is really badly bruised. | | | | Status: Offline

| If it is below your belly button, it is most likely your uterus because it should be taking up the space down there and pushing your organs upward. Are you constipated? Gassy? I get some extreme pain from that stuff and it will change when I change positions. If it's your gall bladder, it would be on the right above the belly button but changing positions wouldn't effect it. You could very well just have a muscle in your abs that's having trouble stretching out like it needs to. Best thing to do is see your doctor and let them check things out to be sure. | | | | Status: Offline

| I've been getting the same thing. It is most definitely gas. It can get so bad that I can't stand up straight. Hope you can get rid of it easily. I haven't found a quick fix yet...I drink prune juice and lay down and usually it will pass. | | | | Status: Offline
