I'm Currently Feeling: | Fetal growth percentile info - post yours!!! Hi there everyone:
Went today for our second Level II ultrasound (the last one showed slight kidney enlargement), and everything looks normal! YAY!!! An annoying aside: The technician kept asking me how many weeks I am (26), and if this was my first baby (yes), even though I had already told her, AND that info was showing on the ultrasound screen--as it ALWAYS DOES! Has anyone else become fed up with how robotic and emotionless ultrasound technicians can be?!?!?! I've had a couple of doozies. I especially love when they have wanted the baby to move, so they start jabbing my tummy...geez, I wouldn't want to move if somebody poked me! I even told her we didn't want to know the sex of the baby, and she was pretty haphazard about moving the magic wand around, so now I have my ideas...
Anyway! She said that we were going to have a "tall baby" based on the measurements of the leg bones. At 26 weeks, our baby already weighs 2.5lbs, which is, I guess in the 72% growth percentile. Anybody else get their stats yet? Wanna share? I guess I'm trying to figure out if at this point, there is any indication of the ultimate birthweight, i.e., is this going to be a moose of a baby?! Or is it just one of those arbitrary markers that could mean just about anything in another three months?
All in all, I'm pretty happy everything's looking healthy! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hmm, well I have only had the one proper one.
The head measured spot on 25 w 4 d. Which is exactly what I was last week.
The baby weighted 1lb and 14 oz. So I don't know what percentile that would put my baby in.
Everything else was perfect and normal!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Our baby was 1lb3oz last week when I was 22 weeks. Doctor said size and weight does not matter as some babies grow quickly in the beginning and slow down later. Every baby is different in growth rate. Seems like every doctor has a different opinion?! |

| Me neither. My midwife said that there is no real way of knowing. I know my little one is growing small though (as per the fundal height measurments). |

I'm Currently Feeling: | No one has ever told me either. I got some charts when I went for my scan but none of them really say what each means.... theres one that says 'HC' which I guess is heel to crown? If it is, he was 20.4 cms at 22 wks + 3, and apparently its at the top of the normal range. If that makes sense.
Theres another one that says 'AC' but I have no idea. Ass to crown?

I'm Currently Feeling: | LOL @ Linzi....
Hunni HC is head circumfrance and AC is abdomonal circumfrance. LOL They only way to get a good idea of weight is to have growth scans every 2 weeks over a period of time
Linzi if u have these measurements ie HC/AC i can give you a wieght |
