I'm 14 weeks now and we ( me and my HB ) can't wait to see if we have a baby boy or girl. we are thinking about having only 1 more scan just to see the baby gender. When should i have it? ( can't even wait to ask the doctor )
we already got 2 names ready, 1 boy name and 1 girl name :LOL:

I think you can see the gender clearly from 16 weeks

They say the best time is to have at around 20 weeks although i think its possible to find out earlier.

I agree with Toria, that you're meant to be able to tell from 16 weeks but also with Jules - things tend to be clearer the later you leave it but not too late or baby might be too big and have everything covered. No matter when you have it done, you could be unlucky and find baby doesn't want to show you. We had trouble with mine at 20 weeks because he had his cord in the way.

why not have the full 20 week scan? Where they check that all of baby's bits and pieces are functioning and growing as they should?

i was told that they can see it from bout 16 weeks but im waiting till my 21 week scan to find out x

Had my scan at 22 weeks and my babys feet were in the way and it wouldn't move.

Don't get your hopes up too much!

My OB suggested we go in between 19-20 weeks.
