It's none of their business!! Every woman is different and as long as your doctor is happy with the way your pregnancy is progressing that's all that matters! So glad you have a supportive DH. And you are right to eat when you are hungry, that's the baby telling you it needs something!

Why should people make such comments???? Would they comment if it was just regular weight gain and my arse was expanding at a fast rate of knots? I dont think so.

My doc was happy with my weight so why would soemone feel the need to comment beyond that? I'm doing my best to not worry and my DB tells me I'm doing MY preganncy MY way and that if I'm hungry I should eat and to not worry and he loves me and baby.....so that helps..

I love having a bump. I really do. Its fantasic, it's my favourite shape I've ever been. BUT STILL it gets right up my nose that people feel it's ok to say such things.

AND JUST NOW AGAIN - my boss commented that my belly is big. I replied firmly that I'm not big, my weight is fine according to the doc, and she said no - but your belly is big. I pointed out that in a week or two I'm half way there and that made her quiet...oooof....

People! I detest when people like to comment without thinking of someone's feelings. And it's pretty sad when we have to defend ourselves.

Do they have extra weight gain that they could lose? How would they like it if someone commented about that?

I get the opposite, people telling me i look too small to be 24 weeks

It is just something people feel it is okay to comment on as they don't think it is "bad" so to speak, like being tall or being skinny...people always describe me as the tall girl or oh you are so tall and I am really conscious of it but they say it because they don't see it as a negative I guess

Poor girl, I know where you are coming from. Just the other day someone said "Are you sure there aren't twins in there". I told the girl I was just about 5 months and she goes, but still.... Arghh, stupid people. Just makes me want to say, you look like you have put on some winter weight gain yourself. I can't wait till she gets pregnant cause I will say something back...

I know that it is hard to not let those stupid comments bring you down, I have trouble dealing with it myself. You have a baby growing inside you and everyone grows at a different rate and everyone's belly's are different. People need to realize that. I bet you look gorgeous as ever and it's great that you have a support system. My hubby is really supportive for me as well. That is all that matters. Tell those assholes to F*** off. More hugs your way.

Besides.... it's mainly women who comment on stuff like that, they are just jealous cause we can get away with eating some junk and they can't. Sucks to be them huh???

that is not on tell um bugger off you have a little person growing inside u for god sake. i keep getting told im big for 23 weeks but that doesnt mean anything xx

i know this is an old thread but it has really made me smile and relate to you ladies!!!
People are very insensitive and do not think before they speak!!! I was questioned about twins before my first scan!!! And now i get.... "OOOOHH your gonna have a big baby?!?" I just want to scream "How the bloody hell do you know?"!!

I know exactly how you feel. i've been getting upset at insensitive comments too. Have decided to give as good as i get next time I hear one!!! Ignore them, they're jealous because you are going thropugh a magical time and they're not x

I had this yesterday, when a colleague I haven't seen for a while phoned and the first thing she said was "Are you fat yet?"!!!!
No I'm pregnant you silly cow!!!
Where do they get of saying rude things like that??!!
