How rude!..dunno wot to do! :(


Hi Ladies,

hoping you can give some advice....im on 100 mg asprin...duphaston and folic acid.

Im 14 weeks pregnant, and i want to take pregnacare coz im so worried abt my vitamin intake..but on the box it says if ur taking blood thinners ur doc needs to tell u if its ok or not..

So i called my doctor, and they said she will call back and she didnt....called the next day..sammeee thing!.....okkkk....so i called again yesterday and i couldnt belive it!!

The receptionist told me tht she has patients and tht she will not be calling me back!! she didnt even ask me wot i needed!! wot the hell! i pay her private and tht is how they treat ttheir patients!!!!!!! need to rant here sorry!!

But can someone tell me wot to do?? i need to no if i can take pregnacare or not? im so so worried...

Why not phone the hospital and ask someone on the maternity ward? I'm sure that one of the nurses can find out. Or book an appointment to go in and see her...or wait till your 16 weeks appoint etc to go in and ask about it.

Thts the problem, she is the owner, its like a clinic. So there is no1 else i can ask.. its her or no one...should i call again and ask? wot if i do and again get shoved off?

If your paying her privately then keep bugging her. . you have every right to be spoken to as anyone else!
As for Vitamins, apparently at this early stage, its not the end of the world if your vitamin intake is on the low side. Baby is still little and not taking that much from us. However once they start their real growth spurt thats when they will start taking taking taking!! Most important at this timeis your Folic acid, which you are taking.
I think the call to your EPU or maternity suite is a good idea too.

What about calling the NHS Direct line for their advice? Could they help?
