are first movements always flutters?

All morning I have been feeling a litle throb right down where baby is. Its not painful but definatly not what I would call just a flutter.
Its quite a weird little feeling to be honest!
Could this be baby moving or something else?
I dont think Ive really grown that much and think its quite early to be feeling anything but if its not baby moving then what is it?!
Trying not to get toooo excited that it may be baby!

I am 18 weeks with my first bubs and can't tell if I've been feeling proper kicks for the past week or so. I never really got flutters and as most people don't feel proper clear kicks this early, I wonder if it is just my uterus twitching!!!!

Isn't it nice to think it's bubs anyway!!

I've never felt anything that I would describe as a flutter. When my baby is moving around it's more like a twitch or what some call popping (aka like a bubble coming to the surface and then popping) basically, like the baby poked me (which it is). The twitch is definitely the baby as I used my doppler to confirm it.

I first felt one at 15w4d. I sneezed then I felt three little taps like popcorn popping about two inches below my belluy button. And that's where I've been feeling taps up until about a week ago. And now I can see baby tapping away in there. And kicking. I was a size 0 and very petite when I was first pregnant. I'm not sure if that's normal to be able to see movement this early. What do you think?

I'm small too and I definitely saw movement already. I was looking right at the spot when it popped up. I had the doppler on and it was a good size wallop too, not the usual smaller movements.

Ive never felt flutters with either of my pregnancies. The only way i can explain the first movements is like a bubble popping in my belly. I have just started to feel it this time aroud since saturday night xx

i felt first movement at 15+1. first baby too. It was just like a twitch, so much that I thought it was my cell phone on vibrate!! It just gets stronger and stronger! It's so awesome to feel them getting stronger too!
