So I have a 10-11 year old brother-in-law. Was talking to him yesterday and asked him if he wanted a niece or a nephew (will be the first on my husband's side of the family) and he said "I don't care as long as it's not annoying"

I have a 5 1/2 year old brother in law. When I explained to him that he was going to be an uncle, and used an example of his uncle, he got the most outrageous look on his face. It was sooo funny.

my little brother said, "I'm going to be an uncle at 10." Just so plainly. It was funny.
my OH is the baby in his family though (well.. out of his brothers/sisters).

My little brother is 7, and when I told him about the baby he hid under the table and cried for about an hour. When he came round he started talking to the baby and he said 'Hello, Im your Uncle Nathan and Im going to teach you how to play football, unless you're a girl, because my dad said girls are rubbish at football.'
