FYI - swine flu vaccine

http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-...00910215405950

Every woman should make up their own mind on what is right for them, I wasn't going to have it anyway but there's no chance after reading this.

What's everyone elses opinion??

To be honest I am frightened of having it and frightened of not having it its a nightmare - I wish it would just all go away!
My colleague at works son has got it at the mo and I am petrified of catching it through her. I have just seen the headline on sky news about a preggy woman dying again but I didnt read the story. I get too het up about it all so I have decided not to read the stories!

I think you have to be very careful with media hype.

I plan on doing my research speaking to doctors etc. I think many many people forget that you can die from normal flu.

They do recommend these jabs for a reason but it does have to be personal choice and its not one I look forward to making.

i dont think i will be having it. I dont have any children, dont really have contact with children, and dont work so my risks of getting it are pretty low i would guess. I think it depends on your personal circumstances, but i wouldnt have anything that hasnt been tested on pg women. Just my opinion x

Totally agree Sarah. I spoke to a family doctor and he said he wouldn't recommend it to his wife/daughter if they were pg - it is his personal opinion, obviously not the professional line, but it has made me think hard about it. Agree about the normal people dying of flu, but generally not the young, fit and healthy people that have died of swine flu... I am looking forward to this winter being over - agree with Julie about it all being very scary

xx

After much debating (with myself!) I will be waiting on the adjuvant free vaccine Celvapan.

It seems safe enough
