Who is joining NCT

Prob been done before but couldn't find it.
Who is joining the NCT classes and who thinks they are too much money?

I am 2 minds, just not a great time to be paying out MORE cash.

Hazel.

Hi there
I have signed up for the antenatal classes but only because my NHS one have been cancelled due to swine flu and as this is my first I wanted some sort of extra guidance.
I think if I was able to have NHS I wouldnt have bothered to be honest

I've signed up to the NCT course too...I've heard they are really good...plus I really want to meet some other new mums in my area too, as I don't have family in the UK. My area offers nothing in the way of classes for pregnant ladies, so an NCT course it is!! Plus, with this being my first, I could do with all the information I can get my hands on!

I've signed up to NCT because I sort of felt that it would be nice to meet people who are having a baby in my area..also I liked being able to choose when I go on the course!

Miss Tanya - where and when are you having your NCT classes? Are they in Bromley?

xx

I've joined the NCT one as well! I have heard really good things about them, and like MissTanya, we are also hoping to meet other couples! I have a few friends that joined NCT and still keep in contact with the people that they met there. Thats not the main reason though...I dont live in the best area in the world and thought that the NCT ones might be a bit nicer than the NHS ones! xxx

I think I will. You get a bit of a discount if you pay via direct debit.

I'm just waiting, as we're hoping to move, and I want to make sure I joint the right area.

I'm going to join too - it isn't a great time for extra money to be spent, but I don't know many people in my area, and I know even fewer mums-to-be, so it would be lovely to meet some people in the same situation and make some new friends - I think it will be an amazing support after our LO's are born xx

everyone I have spoken to who went to NCT/NHS said that NCT are worth the money and the support groups are invaluable! I did feel very sick when |I paid for them but I am really hoping its worth it! Maybe one of us should post in 3rd tri and get their opinions!

my independant midwife reccomends them - she says the network of mums you meet is invaluable and its more intimate with much more practical advice.
