Back from scan, sorry for keeping you waiting.

Sorry I didn't let you all know last night, was feeling very bruised after my scan as LO would not co operate and spent the whole time on his head, doing a headstand or on his belly face down. So i went straight to bed, and i was fuming, which i'll explain in a minute.

Well I did have the best news possible, babies bladder has emptied and was back to being small again. However because the amount of strain he had on his bladder, the bladder is a lot stronger and muscley than it should be. So they think that the partial blockage may still be there and it was just because of the strength of the bladder that the urine was squeezed out.
So the problem could reappear at anytime so I have to monitored closely and have a scan every 4 weeks for the rest of my pregnancy to keep an eye on everything.

The consultant took me aside after my scan and she explained to me that often with babies who have this problem in the womb, will be very hard to potty train and will frequently need to urinate, because the bladder muscles are thick and strong it will not expand to hold lots of urine and will stay small. So the baby will need to pass water very often.

AND THEN WHAT MADE ME MAD.

She then said "The hospital will stand by you with whatever decision you decide to make" MEANING SHE WOULD UNDERSTAND IF I CHOSE TO HAVE A TERMINATION.

YOU BLOODY WHAT?????
AS IF I WOULD HAVE A TERMINATION JUST BECAUSE MY BABY WILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH POTTY TRAINING. HOW DARE SHE.

Sorry i was just so mad, my baby is perfectly healthy in every other way and is even bigger than he should be so they said I am a bit further on that what they originally thought, I can't believe she would even think that. STILL MAKE ME MAD.

Oh my god, I cannot believe they said that - how terrible.
Some of these people should not be in the medical profession.
On the plus side, at least they are closely monitoring you and baby.
Good luck : )

Well at least things sound better with babies bladder and you never know how these things will turn out till baby is here anyway because often they get it wrong. Poor little baby in there needing to pee so badly though!!

I can't believe they'd think you might want a termination over something so small!!

sure she meant that?
Maybe it means a lot of work. But you'll manage I've no doubt!

Oh it's good news that baby is fine. Really.
And I'm sure it's something a child can elarn to live with with no problems. even if he/she needs to pee mid class, then teachers can be made to be aware and it'll be all fine.
I'm glad it's all calmer for you.

And yes, you should be sorry for making us wait - you kow how us mums-to-be worry!!
