bathroom cleaner & my husband

Just curious, because when i got up to go the bathroom last night i smell bathroom cleaner and i found out that my husband got up at 3 am. in the morning and cleaned the toilet drain. What happened this morning is i feel my throat was a bit sore and i felt a bit sick ( but didn't throw up ).
I notice my husband couldn't sleep for a few nights now and would go in the study to do some work, not sure what's upsetting him.

Last concern is would this harm the baby, just by inhaling the bathroom cleaner?

I cant imagine a smell would harm baby, but then if it was strong fumes it's possible. But from toilet cleaning maybe it was just the smell putting your stomach on edge?

Ask your OH - cleaning the loo at 3am is not normal. He might be worried about baby - men go through some weird pregnancy things too. Best to just talk.

i'd drop down dead if my OH knew what bathroom cleaner was!!! never mind anything to do with the fumes.

it is a bit odd though that he felt the need to do that in the middle of the night... maybe he wanted it to be extra clean for you?? he got a lot of stuff on his mind hasn't he, you need to ask him about it.

PS he did actually clean the bathroom, with bathroom cleaner on friday evening, but that was only cos the midwife was coming on saturday morning! he was miffed when she stayed downstairs...ha ha ha .

I don't know that the cleaner will harm the baby, especially since you weren't in there at the time of the cleaning. Not sure what is up with your DH, sometimes they go through weird pregnancy things too, have you tried talking to him about it?

My OH was acting strangly because he was worrying about stuff. He still isn't sleeping properly. Went to get at about 3am and got back up at 4 because he couldn't sleep. Came back to bed at about 5 or 5.30. Quite annoyingly he sits up downloading porn which is using up our download limit!!
GRRRRR

I worry about cleaners too but as a one off thing, even if you did inhale some fumes it's not likely to do any harm. The smell of normal toilet cleaners isn't dangerous though.

I think its just the really caustic oven cleaners and stuff like that (you know, the one where you clean the oven and for a few weeks after all your food tastes like its been basted in bleach) that can hurt you.. I'd talk to OH about it. My OH went a bit mental too and was totally avoiding me, and didn't mention Sprout at all, until at about 10 weeks I got a doppler and we found the h/b together.. I dunno what to say hun but I hope you work things out

i talked to him last night when he came back from work. i asked if he's ok ( he's been drinking after work with his friend for a few days which seems a bit not right ) and he said YES, then i said " i noticed you haven't sleep well for a few nights now, is there anything that worry you? " he said again he's fine. So i said " Are you worry about your mom ( she's not well ) ? " and he nodded.
I teased him " man don't talk much like us ( woman ), do they ? " and he smiled. i hope that's the reason.
Well, he tried to play naughty with me when i was sleeping last night twice, but we both were really tired so he put his hands away. LOL: Is this might be another reason? Because of my pregnancy condition, my doc. told me to stop having sex until next appnt. and see what he will say.

you know what, it's difficult to deal with his stress because my hormones is rising too, but i'm trying not to ask him too much. At the moment i'm trying to deal with my own emotions too. He gets a bit grumpy sometimes when he's stressed.
