Anyone else dealing with killer migraines?

This one's going on three days now and I am about ready to go to the emergency room! Tylenol doesn't work for me, and my regular migraine medication isn't safe during pregnancy!!!!! I am about to throw a fit! I can't get into my doctor's until my next appointment on the 22nd and that is too long to deal with this. Anyone else dealing with this and what have you tried?

p.s. I work at a radio station so hard to have no noise, I"ve got the lights turned off and it is helping, and once I get home, kids screaming, tv blaring, and constant action will not help things so I am hoping to have it dealt with by then

awww hun!! i know how you feel. i surfered with migraines before be coming pregnant, but they have been alot worse since.
I have found that lots of water, some headache tablets and some sleep has been helping me. Also it sounds silly but i have found if i have something to eat also that helps..
Hope you find something that works for you soon x

hi hun, i understand who terrible it can be i ended up being admitted to hospital in my last pregnancy as my mirgraine lasted a 6 days and i couldnt even bear the sound of my breathing, and had to lay still in a dark room

they gave me pethadine for pain relief and explained that sometimes in pregnancy this happens and the pain is made worse by the fact that all your blood vessels are wider to allow more blood

it was horrendus, i know if precriped you can take co-codomal saftly in pregnancy mabe you should call the doctor and explain you cant wait that long to be seen, maybe he will write you a script to pick up?

hope you feel better v soon hun

xx

hey, i suffer to and it was perticularily bad in weeks 15 and 16. Now by 18 its pretty much completely gone. Im fortunate enough to be able to leave work when i get one and sleep it off, normally passes within a day or two. I dont have any children so can just spend all my time in bed, dont know how il cope when i get one when the baby arrives though! Is it possible for someone to look after your little one and you get a good days rest and sleep to try and clear it away?

I went home to crying kids just as I suspected. But OH was really good about dealing with them, the dog, the cleaning and cooking. So I was able to lay on the couch for a few hours and then went to bed at 8pm after taking some tylenol. I did wake at 4 and couldn't get back to sleep as the migraine had come back so I took m ore tylenol and watched a bit of t.v.
Just felt the beginning of another one so I'm going to have to pick up some tylenol this morning before it gets too bad. I"m going to fly out to my mother's house tomorrow for the holiday and only bringing the littlest one with me and she is the quiet one so I will be able to rest for a few days. Thanks everyone for the advice!
