Labour talk...

OMG I went to a labour talk today for young mums to be and it just seems so complicated there are alot of stages not worrying about the pain, just the lead up to it and the after birth, its all really scary, helpful though.
The bit that confused me the most was the whole Plecenta part awww im not looking forward to that bit at all.

Sounds wonderful. Glad they didn't put me with the young mums! Don't think I need to be told that stuff

Try not to let it frighten you. Yes birth is complicated, there is a lot going on, but your body is built for it and it knows what to do. You might try reading a book on natural childbirth. The one I have read, and is awesome, is Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth. The first section of the book is all natural home child births. By the time I finished that half, it made me feel amazing, strong and so ready for birth. The second half is the mechanics of what is going on during labor. For me, I want to know what is happening, it makes it less scary when you know what is going on.

I agree with Samantha. It's all completely natural and your body knows what to do even if you don't! You'll probably find a lot of it will happen out of instinct. Try not to worry and go with the flow. Your midwife will be there to help!
