Normal lower back pain?

What is normal for you? At the minute I have lower back pain that has been going on all day. I have an ob appointment first thing so will be able to chat to her about it then, but I am sitting here worried.

The pain is in my lower back and coccyx, sometimes feeling it down my legs. I should point out that I did my first exercise class last night, which is the first lot of exercise I have done since finding out I am pregnant. I have also been having pains in my 'bum bones' for a few weeks.

I suppose I am worried because I am high risk and had DS at 30 weeks. Although had no problems until I went into labour. I think I am suffering from high anxiety at the moment. Sitting here worrying what is going to happen next.

It is normal to have some back pain, it sounds like maybe the baby is resting on a nerve since your pain is joining down your leg. A hot water bottle placed on your lower back for a short period of time tends to help..Good luck !

it is advised if you didnt do excersise beofre pregnancy not to do it during pregnancy as your body is not used too it, Also if you are taller than average your more prone too back ache/pain, i always wondered why i had moe than normal carrying aiden and my midwife told em cause i was 5ft 11" i am prone too severe back pain because i am really tall xx

qmama - sorry to hear you're in pain and worried it's not nice. good job you can speak to your ob today.

from my point of view im suffering with really bad sciatica at the moment, hurts when i walk, sit, lay ANYTHING. throbbing pain most of the time. my midwife said there's not much she can do because its a nerve not related to pregnancy (its just co-insided with it) but hey, my pain is the same as you've described, the same areas anyway.

hope you can get your aches sorted hun, try not to be too anxious, its pretty normal i think xxxx
