Anyone else suffering from pregnancy insomnia?

For the past month I have awaken at about 3-4AM and have a lot of difficulty going back to sleep. This mainly happens during the week days when I have to get up for work in a couple hours. I fall asleep fine and can take loads of naps during the day on the weekends. Its just when I get up for my hourly wee during that time, I find myself staying awake.

yerp i had this a few weeks back and was walking around like a zombie for days. its eased off slightly atm and although i wake up quite regular at night from rolling over or weeing, i am able to get back to sleep. its one of those lovely pregnancy symtoms. people kept saying huh if you think your not getting any sleep now, wait til the baby's born! which i thought was a stupid thing to tell me as i pointed out to them. nooooo i'm more likely to get more sleep when baby is born as i will be sleeping when she is sleeping where as atm i'm not sleeping becoz i simply cant

That happened to me for about two weeks straight. Couldn't get back to bed between 3 and 4 so would end up reading until I fell back to sleep. Things do get better. I am actually sleeping through the night (without bathroom breaks even!) ( unless I sleep walk there??)
So don't worry too much!

Yup - I was experiencing this too. On holiday now and going to bed really early (9pm) so that waking up early is okay and I don't feel exhausted. Is there any way you could get to bed earlier?

I'm the same. Sometimes woken by my bladder (!) but often just awake and can't sleep. Think i might be feeling baby move now which is maybe not helping...

Yep, although I suffer from periodic insomnia anyway.

Some nights I can sleep right through, other nights I can't get to sleep at all and then there are the nights when I stir and find I can't get back to sleep and I'm up for 4-5+ hours at a stretch before I am tired enough to try sleeping again.

Just the opposite here. I do get up a few times a night to go to the bathroom and drink water (I always feel thirsty), but I fall back asleep instantly. Over the weekend, I sleep something like 11-12 hours a night and then take a 2-3 hr nap during a day. Which means I get nothing done over the weekend. During the workweek, I go to bed early. I don't know how you girls can handle it with insomina, with a full night's sleep I always feel I haven't had enough.

I do try to get to sleep at around 10:30PM and after work I usually take an hour nap. I think it's the anxiety of me knowing I have to get up in a couple hours keeps me awake. I don't seem to have this problem much on the weekends.
