i know everyone complains about their health systems so here my complaint
i have a terrible doc in the beginning who i saw at 5 wks and left him. i couldnt find another one and eventually made an appointment only to be told she wouldnt be working on that particular day- there would be a replacement.
so after that i said well i want to see her.. not the replacement and they would only give me and appointment for aggges away- ie i would have to go to the back of the line again. ridiculous! so i looked for another doc finally found one who i saw at 13 wks and liked her very much. she told me come back in 6 wks a little unusual i know coz u guys probably see the doc every 4 wks but i was ok with it. so what happens? its snows - great nice and white but my apointment gets cancelled and they cant give me one for another two weeks.
so now i wont have seen the doc from 13 wks to 21 wks. in the meantime ive had a scan and blood work that i want to know about. i call the surgery as she is there today and ask if i can be fitted in, its not my fault it snowed. so the woman tells me ok come now, i cant get there at the drop of a hat! its on the other side of town. so i ask her pls can i talk to the doc. no she doesnt take calls!

bloody hell! so i said ok go into her in between patients and tell her my story, and ask her if she wants me to wait to see her til next week, or if i should come in... this was like an hour ago.. they still havent called me back...

is this really ridiculous or am i just being hormonal. i mean i really dont like this idea of the seeing the doctor every two months. this is my first so if im being paranoid pls tell me.

Doctors make me mad! That is totaly ridiculous. I'd phone back

gonna try again soon, i have a feeling tho shes gonna say its fine just come see me next week, i dont want to come off crazy u know .. i finally have a doctor i like

I would bug the hell out of them until I got what i wanted! It's unfortunate that the service is like that. My doctor calls me as soon as any results from anything are in and if I call an assistant will call me right back usually within 30 mins. you should def call back and be persistent!

well i did call back and ....
she said i should just come next week, so again its gonna be 8 wks between my appointments. when i go in next week and i am going to have a chat with her face to face. i am not happy about this but as DH said ,at least she didnt say u have to come in right away, like something is wrong G-D forbid. i just hope she looked at my results before making the decision to tell me to come next week. feel a bit disappointed..

She still didn't tell you the results of your tests from nearly 8 weeks ago?! that seems unusual, maybe you should call back again just to ask if the results came back okay maybe that will at least give you a little peace of mind until next week.

the only reason im not freaked out by this is because the scan i had was done by a obgyn not just a tech, it was a detailed scan similar to the 20 wk one just at 16 wks - its called an early scan. he was very happy with it and the measurements and took pictures of the face etc. i also saw my gp coz of a cold and he pulled up my blood tests and had a look at them. so hopefully this is enough for now. im just sick of fighting the system..

oh I see, and fighting the system would get exhausting and annoying i imagine! Thank goodness you only have about another week to wait and not more tho!

fighting the system is like pulling out your hair strand by strand. if it was really urgent id just pitch up and demand to be seen. at least like u said its just another week but its already been 7!
