Oh dear.

I'm feeling guilty. I'm 14 weeks and a few days...three maybe. I haven't gained any weight. I'm trying to eat more, but I'm not hungry. I didn't have any morning sickness or anything, so that's not the problem. I went to the doctor last week and she didn't say anything about my weight, so it is probably okay, right? I just feel like a failure already. I wasn't particularly skinny before I got pregnant. I'd say on the heavy side of average. Anyone else have a similar situation?

Wouldn't worry, as long as baby is growing ok you'll be fine. I haven't got a clue whether i've put weight on or not, although i'd say probably yes seen as i'm normally a size 8 and i've now got this round tum. Ha ha.

Don't think i'd put weight on at 14 weeks though, it all came at once with me and lots of people say the same. Just eat healthy hun and enjoy your last few weeks of no bump. He he he x x

i had the same thing, im still the same now, if anything my appetite has decreased and im finding it very difficult to ram anything down my throat.
They do say tho that you dont have to eat any more then normal until the 3rd trimester and even then u only need an extra 200 calories a day which is equivilent to a piece of toast!

i also didnt gain any weight until i was about 18 weeks and have still only put on about half a stone! maybe 3/4 now as i havent weighed myself since 25 weeks or so!

I wouldnt worry
as long as your eating healthily and not skipping meals then you will be fine!

I am 14 weeks today and haven't put on much weight...

I feel bloated and all my pants are tight...but weight wise, I've only put on 1 or 2kg.

Don't stress!!! You don't want to whack it all on now...it will probably start to pile in in the next month or two.

I haven't noticed an increase in hunger @ 14 weeks-ish.

You don't NEED to eat more or put on weight at this stage! Don't force yourself to eat - pointless

I didn't even start putting on weight until week 16 (some don't until about 24/26 weeks). Personally I have put on 6lbs in the past 5 weeks, but EVERYONE is different. Before pregnancy I was a 9 stone 10.5lb size 10. At just over 21 weeks I am a 10 stone 2.5lbs "maternity size 10". My body didn't need to put on ANY weight before 16 weeks - I was healthy and big enough as it was. I had NO MS either.

Just eat normally and healthily and keep sensibly active. Your body will put on weight when it needs to...

Thanks so much! I feel a lot better. Still a little guilty, but not nearly as bad!

i am the same. I had no ms to speak of really, and by 14 weeks, i had lost 3/4 of a stone. My appetite has gone through the roof so dont really understand that! I am slightly overweight anyway though, so guess i just didnt need to put on any weight. Im now 18 weeks and am putting weight on slowly, one pound at a time. I am still down on my pre pg weight, but have put on about 4 pounds in the last 4 weeks.

Im quite relieved really as i really thought i was gunna balloon when i got pregnant! x

Don't feel bad at all! Specially if you weren't a stick to begin with. I've only put on a few pounds and I'm 20 weeks. All the midwives seem perfectly happy.

I was 168lbs when I got pregnant and am only 167lbs now! (I did lose about 7lbs during the first 15 weeks though.)

As long as you don't feel hungry or thirsty then you should be fine. Baby will tell you when it's time to eat! At 20 weeks this little one definitely makes his will known if it's time to eat!

I really don't have much of an appetite. I don't weight myself often but I know that I have lost a few pounds since learning that I was pregnant.
