in the beginning i wasnt sure if it was just gas but it did not feel like bubbles for me , its felt like small like little pulses or thuds and it took a while to realize it was the baby. then the kicks feel like bigger thuds.

Hey-- yes, you will definitely know when you're getting kicks, but no one really knows when they will get them. They give you a time period of when "most" people get them, but with myself and my pregnancy, I did not start feeling movement until around 24 weeks! Still now, I go days without feeling much movement and then there will be days where she moves all the time. Everyone is different, so if your 20-week mark comes, don't get upset if you haven't felt anything, that's perfectly normal!

for the past couple of weeks i've been having odd little scratchy feelings. they can be at ay place in my lower tummy and dont feel like other muscle pulling twinges. though they are "Twinges" of some sort...they come and go I mean.

I can only put it down to baby...but has anyone else experienced their baby's movements as being slightly painful?
Maybe these are somehting else. they can interupt my thoughts and make me go "ouch"!..so i rub the area and it stops after a second or three. It can come again a few times in the same spot before disappearing. And i dont need to be doing anything - i mean, it ca happen even when i'm sitting still watching TV.

very mysterious! I desribe it to OH as the hamster scratching about...

The very first time I felt Peanut I was sitting down talking to DH and all of a sudden 7-8 little bubbles popped in me, least that's what it felt like. I just stopped talking and was like, 'WHAT was THAT???'

You will know hun, at first it feels like flutters but you could easily pass these off as wind, as soon as the kicks start though, you will feel it
