FYI: Change to how baby's length is measured after 20 wks!

I was pondering my ticker today, trying to imagine how my baby could already be 12" long from crown to rump. Now, I just assumed this was a CRL measurement, because every other length I've noticed along the way has been crown-rump. But, I thought, surely a newborn's CRL isn't much more than 12"! So I did some googling and found this:
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnanc...lopment/chart/

It says that after 20 weeks the baby is no longer measured crown-to-rump, but instead as crown-to-heel. LOL, why does no one TELL me these things?! Like I'm just supposed to KNOW somehow that the rules change at a random, arbitrary week??

Anyhow, thought I'd pass that tidbit on to any others out there who are equally clueless!
