they keep saying I'm big

i'm trying to nto take things pesonally, but at work two of my colleageus keep mentioning my bump size. One says "ooh you're showing so early, I could hide mine until 4.5 months..."and the other is like "oh you're growing by the day - are you sure you've got your dates right?"

I'm delighted to show. i'm delighted baby is growing...but why do I feel like a bit of a fraud? Or a little upset by their comments?
The extra size is all belly/bump so it's not like I myself and growing by the day, but it makes me feel a bit weird when they say things like that...like I don't know what I'm doing...
perhaps I'm just hormonal today but I wish they'd just be happy and marvel at the bump rather than wonder why it's so big....I am virtually 4 months right, it's OK to show!...

Hmmm well how rude of them to even make those comments and to not even realize that you are sensitive right now and hormonal! I would be upset too and if it were me I'd say something back, but if that's not in your nature maybe just tell them that you and the LO are perfectly happy and that you are damn proud of the bump that you have! Kindly remind them that every freaking woman is different and every baby is different.
But keep your chin up and do be proud, I started showing very early and have a pretty proper bump at only 17 wks but I'm happy about it Alot of it probably is due to hormones, my younger sister-much younger-often reminds me of how big i look and often mistakes the "baby bulge" for fat and says "ewww" or "gross" and sometimes its silly that it offends me but it does and i know that it's just hormones. It's normal for you to feel the way you do-but NOT normal, I think, for other women to make such comments to you-especially if they have been pregnant themselves before!
Hang in there

hey honey i think that it is brilliant you are showing, and i am very jealous. Who cares what your colleagues have to say, as long as you are happy with your beautiful bump then thats the main thing. I can't wait till i have a bump that people comment on, and when i do, it won't matter what they say, i'll just be happy people find me so important to talk about haha, thats all i can say about your colleagues as if they have so much spare time to marvel over your bump, then its obviously because they find you very special or have nothing better to do with their time (in which case, get a life).

We love all bumps here, no matter big or small, everyone is different and thats what makes it so special. big hugs.. xxxx

this place gets worse - one woman just virtually shouted "oh my god, it's starting to show" and grimmaced (this isnt pregnancy paranoia this one!) like it's a boil or something?!?! She looked like it was a bad thing!
She's never had kids, maybe she finds it all a little alien...but really...she could pretend to smile!!

I just smiled and said "yes", ina proud manner. daft bat.

Exactly, everyone should be proud of their bump no matter what the size.

I think it depends on what people have seen other bumps looking like, then they think that everyone should be that same size.

Next time someone comments on it, just say "yeah, it's great, wanna closer look?"

I wish I had a bump! I can feel myself sticking my belly out at work now because people keep telling me Im really small for how far along I am!

People make silly comments without thinking about how you might feel about what theyre saying. Ignore them if you can hun. Be proud!
