How the heck do you guys get comfy to sleep on a night??

Its driving me bonkers!! i used to sleep ALL night on my tummy but its getting rather uncomfortable to do this now so i have to sleep on my sides or back... i cant get to sleep on my back cause i like to be all tucked in but when i lie on my sides i get pains down my legs... its driving me mad cause i just cant get comfortable and i know its just going to feel worse when i get bigger... i also dont want to harm baby if i do roll onto my tummy. Any advice on how to get a nice comfy nights sleep? i have looked into the pregnancy pillows but not sure how they'd work?? xxxxxx

well, pregnancy support pillows or just normal pillows are there to place in between your legs to raise your legs so you have support through your back and legs. they also support your ever growing bump....... however i've come to the conclusion none of this works and i give up tryin to sleep. my way of coping now, is to have power naps when i can. Most days i feel so sick from the tiredness. everyone says " ah if you think its bad now just you wait" and i reply " nooooooo its horrfic now at least when baby is out and sleeps for a couple of hours, so will i!"

So yer if anyone has any tips, i would also be lad of them.lol

I was thinking about getting one of the maternity pillows.

Whenever I roll onto my stomach in my sleep it wakes me up - because it's so uncomfy!

Sorry to hear your having difficulty. Im lucky to have not reached this stage yet but i know its coming!! I often wake in the night now for the toilet and i do toss and turn a bit but only sleep on my sides. Get one of the support pillows

I'm not sure when your supposed to stop sleeping on your belly. I know i stopped very early coz with this being my 2nd bubs, she showed very early and was most uncomfy to sleep on her. I stopped at around 12-13 weeks.

You should find that the new mattress will make a huge difference. I put a mattress topper on mine to make it softer and its defo more comfy than it was. Until you get a support pillow, just use a pillow for support.

i hope i dont jinx myself.... but i have no problems sleeping! thank god. even when i wake up on average 4 times through the night for the toilet i get back into bed and fall straight back to sleep! i dont know why im sleeping so well tho. i sleep on my left side with my left leg out straight and my right leg tucked into my chest nearly! very comfy position, and this is the way i slept with all my pregnancies!
sorry i have no tips! have you tried a bath with lavender oil, it knocks my kids out! maybe it wud work for you too! haha

i was used to sleeping on my side anyway! but now i have to put a pillow between my legs and a little on under my bump for support seems to be OK although i toss and turn onto my back all the time lol!

if ure off to buy a pregnancy pillow look about as u can get them for about £7(the word pregnancy on stuff adds about £20! lol)

I struggle too, I used to be a front sleeper but that isn't comfy anymore. I'm not comfy on my back either because my bump feels really heavy, I've found the only way I can sleep is pretty much in the recovery position. On my side with my top leg bent over and resting on the mattress, so i'm kind of on my side but a bit on my front xx
