I've always slept with a body pillow, between my legs and under one of my arms, it can be quite comfy for me to sleep like that, but positioning it around my bump now is getting difficult. I have to get it just right under it or it feels funny. Then I have to get up and go pee. Then I have to get situated, then last night Kellan decided to ram his hand into my cervix, so I got up and moved a bit so he would move. Basically getting to sleep is a production. Then I fall asleep and have to go pee again. I really need some sleep, but its just so difficult!

I've not had a decent nights sleep for about 5 weeks now

I've got a pregnancy pillow which does help but I can only sleep in a position for about 2 hours before everything starts getting sore ie/ the hip that i'm lying on. I then seem to wake up on my back (which I know isn't good), then switch sides so then the other hip gets sore. I eventually make a nest so that i'm pretty much sleeping sitting up and look like a zombie!!!!!

Least the OH is sympathetic as I'm sure I keep him awake tossing and turning all night.

I do have a memory foam mattress too which does help (as am just back from visiting friends and they had very soft mattresses which made the aches and pains worse)
x

I've been suffering with round ligament pain and backache, which ease up at night, but then my hips start aching instead. So my mum took pity on me (or got sick of me moaning!) and bought me a Dream Genii support pillow, which arrived yesterday!

So my report after the first night of use is that it was very comfortable and stopped me rolling on to my back, and it supported my bump. Also I like the bit But, like PieMistress, I did feel a bit sore on one side when I woke up because the pillow basically means that you stay in one position. It can be used both ways, i.e. to lie on your left or right side, but if you do want to shift, then you have to turn the pillow over as well.

I have read reports that it's not so good for tall women as the bit that goes between your legs is not very long - but I don't have that problem as I'm only 5'2.

If it gives you any hope, I slept really badly from about 12 - 22 weeks, but since then I seem to have slept a lot better for some reason. But I think the pillow will help with support and easing some of the aches and pains.

It is supposed to restrict the blood/ oxygen flow to baby Supposed to sleep on your left side because it is the recovery position but it HURTS
