Pregaday tablets?

Is anyone else on these? I was taking Pregnacare multi-vitamins already, when I went to the midwives for my 16 week appointment she recommended I go to the docs and get a prescription for Pregaday tablets which are iron and folic acid.

I had really bad sickness throughout the whole of first tri i was off work from 5 weeks until 12 weeks, then it kind of sorted itself out so i was sick first thing in the morning but could go to work and managed okay during the day. But since I've been taking the pregaday I've missed two days of work and spent the last 3 days feeling really rough.

I know I obviously need them, but at the minute I just want to stop taking them! xx

ETA: The pregaday is an extra iron tablet that i've been prescribed. Not sure how clear that was xx

How much iron do they have in? Iron supplements seem to make a lot of people sick.

I can't remember exactly, I don't have them on me but I think about 150mg

i was taking pregnacare folic acid and 19 multivitamin - wen i saw my midwifeat 16 weeks she told me to stop taking it - and i didnt have to take multi vitamins if i didnt want to........... xx

I started taking them, but made me feel so sick so I havent bothered! Ive decided I trust my body to make sure the baby gets what it needs xx

I'd like to carry on with the pregnacare really because I don't want to be defficient in any vitamins. Does anyone know if i could get the pregaday iron supplement in liquid form or something? xx

Can you take them last thing at night? I do that with mine and although it says with a full stomach, I figure mine is full from dinner several hours earlier and have not had any issues? Hope you can resolve it. x

I tried this, it makes me so sick when I wake up there is no way I can physically get into work xx

I take Pregnacare and will take it all the way through. Why did she put you on pregaday? Was your iron levels low on your blood test? Pregnacare has iron in them too, so as long as you eat iron rich foods too then you may not need the extra pregaday. I had to take them with my first two and they made me quite unwell. Id talk to midwife again. xx
