Hmmm, not sure what they'd offer when you're pregnant. Normally, if it's only one or two, they'll take it out with local anaesthetic or sedation. I had two impacted ones nearly two years ago that they wanted to take out with local anaesthetic, but I asked them to put me under general anaesthetic and whip all four out.

In the meantime, have a look and see if clove oil is safe to use during pregnancy. That helped me more than any painkillers, oral or topical.

oh you poor thing, there really is nothing sorer!!! i had 3 impacted wisdom teeth removed under local anastetic last january and the pain afterwards was seriously worse then childbirth!!! lol

i dont know what they will do with you while you are pregnant, but make an appointment with your dentist asap, im sure there is something they can give you for the pain!

good luck xx

I got 3 of mine out on 2 seperate occasions over the last year, my dentist refuised to put me to sleep to do it despite a huge fear of the dentist. I managed and he did 2, then 6 months later another needed out, He doesnt reccomend getting put to sleep tho.. if your asleep theyre much rougher with your mouth. more bruising etc.
but saying that i dont know if he would even do ti at all being pregnant, you might have to suffer it untill the baby is born. Usually the pain comes and goes in waves - is it doing that?? sore for a week or so then not sore for a month or so? then back even more painfull? Do you think you can manage to wait? bearing in mind if its the wisdom tooth it wont be continiously painfull the entire time..

If it's coming, then giving up, then trying again, it's probably impacting and that's what causes the pain. All 4 of mine did that. 2 were trying, so went private and had all 4 out using sedation. Was great! Remember coming round from sedation (you are seriously cuckoo - but think you're doing great and perfectly fine - dad had propped me up against a pillar whilst he got my pain killers and had to keep re-adjusting me as I kept sliding down) and asking for sticker (you know the crocodile ones) and I must have gone on and on cos next day I saw my jacket was covered in stickers and I had a certificate saying I was a very brave person with a picture of a smiling tooth character! All designed for kids I suppose. I was 26 at the time!! Ha ha ahaaaaa!!
When they were trying to erupt, I did find chewing on hard things helped, right on the point of eruption. Didn't help in the long run though as there wasn't the room for any of them anyway. Whole mouth felt lovely once they were out though - like teeth had room to breath. Was such a relief. Painful, but actually less painful than the ache when they were erupting.
The pain you have will probably go away once it give up / comes through - just hold on then the lovely NHS will get them out for free!

Mine are also doing the same, I had pain a few months ago for a couple of days, then they were fine again. Then the week before last they got REALLY sore again, could barely eat or anything, that lasted about a week, but then it stopped hurting again. I don't wanna go dentist because I don't want them taking out while preg xx
