SO Nervous

I had my 20wk scan last Wednesday and the tech said things looked normal. She did say that she couldn't get a great shot of Peanut's brain and that the doc might have me come back in a few weeks later to try again. I'm overweight, so I'm sure going through the extra 'insulation' made it more difficult to get a good pic. She said not to worry, but that he would more than likely call. I got a call a few minutes ago saying that the doc reviewed the scan and needed me to come in Wednesday to get 'more views' on another scan. I know the tech said that he probably would, and that I shouldn't worry, but I am SO SCARED that something might be wrong and they're just not telling me until they know. We didn't get the quad or triple screening done (talked about it, decided not to cause we're low risk for everything), but now I'm REALLY wishing we had...I'm so scared!

If they couldn't get a good picture then they probably just want to check. It could be absolutely nothing. You know you'll love her no matter what happens, so just keep your fingers crossed! Good luck and I won't say try not to worry because you obviously will. I hope things turn out O.K. You know you're going to have alot of people here with their fingers crossed for you! x

Aw dont worry. Im sure its all ok, they prob just want to have clearer pics to be sure everything looks great. I know its hard to not worry, but from the sounds of it I would just say they want to have clearer pics and that everything is fine.

Let us know how it goes though!

Hun try not to worry! After my scan (that they did at 16 weeks instead of 20) I had to do another one. They said it could be caused if the mother is overweight, or if bubs was moving too much to get a decent pic. Actually everyone at my Drs office said it is VERY common to have to do a repeat 20 week scan. I cried when they told me we had to, because I was so scared something was wrong with her. But it went great, and things were fine. And it was just another chance to look at our little girl. Dont worry until they tell you something is wrong, because more than likely, things will be just fine. Good luck, and enjoy seeing your little girl on the screen again!

I am sure everything will be fine - at my 20wk scan we very nearly had to go back again, it was just lucky that Alfie turned at the last minute and therefore stopped it from happening. Don't panic babe, I am sure all is OK! x
