How do you deal with or plan to deal with bump touching?

Just wondering how others feel about the whole people touching your bump thing.

The idea freaks me out completly but i understand that people especialy close friends and family want to be a part of it.
I realy am not a touchy feely person I cant even stand people that try hugging you i just freeze or back away without even realising im doing it.
Im very big on the whole this is my space stay out of it and have (as jokingly as possible) warned people at work touch the stomach and youll get a slap on the nose

I spend all my time trying to hide it with my arms or a bag because im scared someone will try it i even freaked out yesterday when MIL asked to see it.

How do i get over this? other then wearing a Tshirt with touch me and ill bite you.

AWWW not a clue my lovely it must be really hard - I was a bit weirded out by it at first but it doenst bother me now lol.

I get touched all the time I don't mind it too much. My oh plays rugby and allthe boys are fascinated with the bump xxx

oh i don't know, im not a fan of my MIL but she went to touch my bump and i was giving her evil looks but hidden by a smile like hers....

The only person who wanted to touch my bump so far has been my best friend but I didn't mind that.
I don't think I'd be too impressed if someone I didn't know that well wanted to feel the bump though!

i really dont mind my friends or family touching my bump!! but when a stranger does it thats a different story! thankfully nobody i dont know has touched it so far! but i remember with my last pregnacy i was in a shop and some woman walked up and put her hand on my tummy! i was like hello do i know you????

.so i just said excuse me can you please get your hand off my stomach! i havent a clue who you are! that really pi**es me off but other then that i dont mind!!!

Ahhh hunni - I know the feeling......I dont mind close friends touching it (we've all seen each toher naked and in bad states before, so I feel OK wwith that) but they do have to ask permission first....they know I dont like the thought of someone just touching me.

My mum doesnt even touch it as she knows how weird I feel about it.....I will let her when I get bigger, but at the moment there's really no need!

I dont get on with my MIL (she doesnt know this obviously!) but she touched it the other day and my whole body tensed up...I didnt know how to get out of it so just had to let her do it....I was p*ssed off for a while after though!

I havent had a stranger try yet....if they do I may have to clock them! I like the Tshirt idea though! If you find one let us know where from!

i love touching my own bump but it makes me super uncomfortable when someone else touches it, duno why...

i thought id like it (in a proud way) but now that iv actually got a bump and had people touching it im not sure i like it...its such a personal thing, growing your baby, and its a bit awkward when anyone else touches it apart from my hubby.

Don't let people (you are not comfortable with) get close to you. If you stay about 6ft away, then you should be able to move out of the way if anyone reaches for your bump?

Only family and close friends have touched mine so far - I am ok with that. Apart from when husband starts clinging to it in public (making a BIG thing of it), then he gets thrown off

(since it feels a bit like molestation, in public, from my husband....)
