Yesterday I got in a little car accident, it was a four car pile up in front of me and I was at the very end. Luckily I barely bumped the guy in front of me but I had to hit my brakes so hard and swirve to the side of the road into a small ditch. My belt got so tight on my belly and it freaked me out, especially when I started getting a bit crampy. I called my doc right after the accident and she wanted me to come in for uterine monitoring at the hospital. So I went and had to sit hooked up to a monitor that watched the babys heartbeat and my uterine activity/contractions for 5 hours! I also had to have a blood draw to make sure that there was no fetal blood circulating in mine, because if there was it would mean there was a placental abruption. Luckily after 5 horribly uncomfortable hours of lying on my back in a hospital bed with my lower back and hips killing me, nothing was wrong, thank heaven. Babies heartbeat was steadily between about 145 and 155bpm and I only had 3 braxton hicks, no real contractions. My blood draw was fine too. I was just so scared that he was going to try to show early, and it wouldnt be good this early. But Im so glad that everything was ok, it made for a long day yesterday.
OMG glad you are ok. Still very scary though. Lil one sounds good though just keep those legs crossed and milk on it to get hubby to do loads for you ;-)

It was nice that they were so concerned and that they were so helpful. I must admit it was nice to hear his heart beating for 5 hours straight! I was at the hospital I am going to deliver at and I absolutely loved the nurses and the facilities too. It made me feel relived that they cared so much.
