Freaking out (TMI)

Just been to the loo for a number 2 which was quite difficult and afterwards there was quite a bit of bright red blood in bowl.

I'd had this a few weeks ago but went to GP who said not to worry, just piles due to extra weight/strain etc and just to eat plenty of fibre, drink water etc.

However, when I wiped (really sorry as this is far TMI) there was lots of bright red blood and like little clot things (similar to when having period which really freaked me out) and I've got myself in a tizz wondering if it came from the front, not the back.

I jumped straight in shower and am now just biding my time to see what happens but am really panicking to myself. Neither scenario is right but really hoping it's my backside as that seems manageable compared to the alternative.

Anyone else had anything similar???

Have you got any pain like a period pain? If not then I am sure it is just piles. I have had them before and I had to come home from work with them once cos the blood was all over my jeans.

If your not happy go and see another doctor and explain what happened, I am sure they will put your mind at rest.

How far gone are you?

Go to a walk in centre or at least phone NHS direct.

Just for piece of mind.

Sure it's just piles but why not just call?

I'm 23 weeks today and haven't had period type pain. I've calmed down a bit now and think I was just flapping for no reason but got such a fright from volume of blood and then these clot things.

Assuming nothing else happens today I'm at midwife on Tuesday anyway so will mention to her then.

Thanks so much for your advice.

I am like that I worry about everything especially with this baby. Do mention it to her she will prolly tell you it was piles too and may have a look at them, have you got any cream for them? If you have just keep wacking it on.

Hope all ok x x x

hi honey. Excuse the expression but I had this and it scared the crap out of me. I went to wee (far too much tmi coming up - sorry) only had a wee but I wiped my bottom too as it felt wet and I just thought a big of wee had trickled backwards. Anyway it was bright red blood. Big panic stations but much toilet paper dabbing later and it would appear my body is ticking all the boxes and I've got piles and one must have ... Urm... Popped. Ugh.

Oh the glamour!!!!!

Glad you're feeling more relaxed about it now. Terrifying at the time!! Big hugs hon.
