I'm Currently Feeling: | Just got back. The blood & urine results aren't back yet (in fact, his exact words were "what are the hospital doing with it? making a black pudding?! )
He's signed me off for another week. He said he wants me to rest as much as possible until we know for sure whether there's anything going on. The main suspects he said are anaemia, gestational diabetes or a UTI.
I have an appt to see my midwife on Tuesday, so the results should be back by then. Chances are there's nothing to worry about, but he would rather err on the side of caution. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've just been having a mooch around the interweb looking up Gestational Diabetes. Everywhere seems to say it only affects women in later pregnancy (24wks+). But my GP seems to think as I am high risk for it (Over 25, overweight and strong family history of Diabetes) I could contract it earlier.
Anyone here had any experience of Gest. Diab. at an earlier stage of pregnancy? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | hiya chick, its blimming scary when you feel like youre going to pass out and feel all diddy and all that isnt it! i felt like my feet werent even touching the floor, like i was floating, and then about to pass out, i even had a simliar episode in a supermarket too lol!
i had this near the very beginnning of my pregnancy (im 16 weeks now)and although my iron level were checked and found to be ok, my doc did ask me to take a course of pregaday tablets (iron) and strangley enough the giddy spells have gone!
it sounds like your being looked after well which is lovley so youll be sorted in no time, but it might be worth trying to boost the old iron intake a wee bit to see if that helps a bit.xxxx | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im sorry you feel like this! I used to get that a lot. My GP said it was a mixture of a UTI and that the baby was demanding more blood that Im used to or something. It might just be something like that
Hopefully he'll be able to get you sorted out soon hun!
