headaches?

got a cracking head ache....a real painful head ndneck one. been here most of the day but it's just getting worse. whole enck feels tense...and it hurts my right eye.

I never get headaches or migraines....could this be pregnancy related? It's not a sign anything is wrong is it???

Yes! Very common in this stage of pregnancy, so my OB told me last week. She also said that if it got too bad I could take a tylenol to relieve the pain. Hope you feel better soon

Hi i had a couple of like what felt like tension headaches when i was about as far gone as you. I took 2 paracetamol and lied down in a quiet room and they went after about half an hour.
I dont think headaches at your stage mean anything but if they go on can you contact your midwife etc?

I'm used to getting migraines (pre-pregnancy) and I don't think I have had over 3 since getting pregnant.
I regular get headaches but not sure what I can take to get rid of them, usually have to go for a lay down

Ugh, I feel for you

I had some massive headaches in the 2nd tri, thankfully I haven't had one in a long time. They're super common, so I wouldn't worry

I'm the same. I rarely had headaches before pregnancy and unless I was ill they were never very bad but I've had some terrible ones since getting pregnant. They can last for days in a row and make my eyes hurt.

thnaks ladies - least I know it's not necessarily something to worry about. I suspect last night was my first ever migraine. My head just hurt so much, and the light made it much worse. I even cried as I felt so sory for myself!

I managed to go to sleep easily though and when i woke up in the night it had gone - I was so happy!
I'd had a busy weekend so think maybe I just need to learn to take things easier now I'm pregnant?!

Anyway, I just took teh stairs at work (trying to be healthy!) and it hurt my head....so I'm in lazy mode for the rest of the day for sure!!!

Oooh, you're lucky it went away. I had one for the past week that just went away yesterday. Started in my lower neck and went right around my head. Glad you're feeling better!
