I'm Currently Feeling:

Back from Scan

Okay so i'm feeling a little more settled about it all, but now have to play the waiting game again.
Don't think i'm ever going to be able to actually totally enjoy my pregnancy and not worry.
It was good news in a way, the blockage is still there, however it looks like a partial blockage as the bladder isn't as big as it would be if it was a complete blockage.
But there is an option either way now. If the blockage is partial then the baby will be born fine and healthy but will need a minor operation on his penis straight away to clear the blockage.
If the bladder has a complete blockage then i will have to be operated on and the babies bladder will be emptied whilst he is in my womb.
I have a scan in 2 weeks to check on progress and then a scan 3 weeks later with the specialist in this area who will give me my options and talk me through both operations.
There is also a small chance the blockage will clear itself in the mean time.
The baby is totally healthy in every other aspect, his genitals are all developed fine and he is very active and healthy. So obvioulsy i will need to wait again to see the outcome, but at least now I know there is only i tiny chance I will lose him.

Thanks for all your kind words, i love you all xx

That is a long time to have to wait. I didn't realise they could operate on a baby while still in the womb.

Hopefully everything will sort itself out in the time you are waiting. Keeping everything crossed for your little boy. xx

Glad things are looking better now. Still a bit annoying that you gotta play the waiting game again but hopoefully todays scan will have put your mind at a rest a little. At least now you know things can be done to help the wee man. Keeping my fingers crossed for you both.

Hi, I'm really pleased for you Whichever way it goes it all sounds very optimistic so far.
He is definately a little fighter and you need to give him a lot of love, tlc and happy thoughts now, so try and relax a bit now and enjoy it and only worry if another hurdle comes up.
Again really pleased for you as the outcome doesnt sound as bleak now x x x
