I'm Currently Feeling: | First movements - what like? How do you know when you've felt your baby move'
What wree your first movements like?
I just stretched and my tummy was stretched tight, and I felt like a lot of bubbles bubble in my tummy - a bit like when you're hungry or had lots of fizzy drink.. a row of pop pop pop pop pop. The bubbles didnt result in windy pops down below.....which is making me wonder if it could have been what I'm secretly waiting for? It's like I had moving gas / bubbles which didnt really go anywhere? And stopped when I stopped stretching.
I know it's prob too soon. I'll prob get lots of wind in a mo! hehehehehhe.
But that aside, what did your first movements feel like?
I've heard about "flutterings" but it's hard to understand what it actually feels like! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thats what my first movements were like. Little pops but they were mostly all in one place and didn't result in wind. Often I couldn't tell the difference very well though. |

| Yes, that sounds like how my first movements felt! - I'd get bubbling and popping. Sometimes "flutterings" but those I think will come a little later when you start to feel the little kicks more prounounced. I also used to get a sensation that is not dissimilar to what your tummy feels like when you go over a bridge or really high on a swing.
-Over the next few weeks you won't have to concentrate so hard to see if you are feeling anything as the feelings get a lot stronger! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I never got that fluttery or popping feeling. The first time I felt my Lo at 16 1/2 weeks, it felt life someone tickled me in a straight line from left to right. I had never felt anything like it, so I was pretty sure it was my baby. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | From about 14 weeks I had the feeling like RachieH describes when she talks about going over a bridge or like being in an elevator. At that point the baby really isn't filling in the uterus and doesn't often touch the sides for us to feel an actual kick or punch.
By 18 weeks though I was feeling the first punches and kicks and they felt more like pops. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The first time I felt movement it was exactly as you described, CONGRATS! It was 7-8 bubbles popping in a row, very odd feeling. |
