Progesterone to prevent preterm labour

I am in the high risk category for preterm labour. DS who is now 2 was born @30 weeks. I presented at the hospital with a show, shortened cervix and funneling.
I am seeing the ob on Friday next week and I want to go armed with as much information as possible. Has anybody on here used progesterone to prevent preterm labour? Is it/did it working?
