I've got my booking appointment tomorrow. They had forgot about me untill I phoned up last week to find out why I hadn't seen them yet

She's coming here tomorrow around 1pm, I was supposed to see her yesterday but she had to change it, tomorrow is better for me though anyway.

My mum is having Nathan tomorrow afternoon while I have my appointment so I can just concentrate on what the MW is asking me

Has anything changed with the booking appointment and what they do at it now? Last time I had bloods taken (well, she tried..5 times ), she felt my belly, listened to baby's hearbeat and I got asked loads of questions and was given some leaflets about pregnancy ect. JUst wondering if it's still all pretty much the same now?

I had mine much earlier so she didn't listen to babys heart beat or feel my belly.

I was weighed and had a blood and urine sample taken. I was given my bounty pack and then she just talked through a load of stuff like whether I thought I would want a home birth. I was about 8 weeks pregnant so it was a bit too early to be asking me that!!

I think she also went through family history and previous pregnancies and just asked lots of questions about previous medical conditions too.

Good luck I had mine at about 7/8 weeks as well and all she did was fill in forms and give me leaflets. At my 16 wk appointment though they did my bloods and listened to the baby so they might do that with you as well with you being so late on

I had mine done at 8weeks and all they did was check my urine, blood pressure and fill in my notes etc

Had my appointment. She just did the usuall stuff, blood pressure, questions, urine & blood sample, listened to baby's heartbeat ect.

When im 20 week I've got to go and see a consultant at the hospital because of Nathan being born 5 weeks early. She said she will try and arrange my scan for the same day if she can.

She also said if my appointment with the consultant goes ok and I get to 38 weeks then I can have a home birth

I asked her if they still tell you the sex at the 20 week scan and they do if baby is in good position
