I'm Currently Feeling: | Question about triple test and anomaly scan? I had my triple test done on the 13th December and since then it's been in question whether it's gone missing or whether the results are in the christmas backlog. I found out today that the lab had never received the test, so obviously I dont know what the results were! I'm 21 weeks on monday and can't get an appointment today, tomorrow or friday, so I can't have it repeated.
I read if your blood test results came back high they could tell on an ultrasound scan whether the baby had downs or not, and as I haven't been for my anomaly scan yet, I was wondering if they'd be able to tell on there? Or if Id have to have a special one done?
Does anyone know?

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey Linzi,
My doctor told me that Downs can sometimes be picked up via ultrasound. the doctors look for a type of lining by the brain/spine.
As for the triple test, I had it done last week and am now having further tests done due to inconclusive results...
If you are concerned about Downs, talk to your doctor and see what other test would be best for you. |

I didnt think Id be worried about it because Im quite low risk, but we made a decision to have the test done, and because of that I want the results. Can't help worrying something might be wrong even though Im sure theres not!

I'm Currently Feeling: | it is the thickness of the back of the neck. babies with ds tend to have a lot of fluid accumulated in that area and that is why the fold is thicker than normal. |
