EEK! Triple blood test came back questionable..Freaking out!

I found out yesterday that my Triple Blood test came back questionable for a spinal defect. I had an intensive ultrasound today, which showed the spine being okay and the brain being okay. My amniotic fluid is low at 8 CM, which is a bit concerning for us and the doctor.

I have been referred to a Fetal Specialist for more testing on Thursday.

All this could be due to my bleeding in early pregnancy or it could be a lot worse.

I am so freaking out right now!

Try not to stress out about this and remain optimistic. It's great that the brain and spine were fine. Good luck with your tests on Thursday, I'll keep you in my thoughts!

Thanks guys. The "not knowing" is the worst. Luckily, I am seeing one of the top fetal specialists for my general area.

I will keep everyone posted

The not knowing is the worst for sure

I have no experience of this sorry but two things 1) stay clear of google 2) good luck Im sure everything is fine. Its obviously of concern but look at is as they haven't rushed you into a ward on an emergency < if you see what I mean x

Thats very true and has been my biggest problem lately.

I think they can see most cases of spinal problems by ultrasound so thats very good news. As for the fluid, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. I really feel for you & I hope it's all ok.
