chicken pox/shingles

My OH's mum is coming up for the day to go to a ship festival thing with us.

She has shingles though - mild I think - and her doctor told her that as long as I've had chicken pox before (which I have), then I should be ok. Is this true? I thought it was unsafe even if you have had them before??

You will be fine hun, According to info online you only need to stay away if you have NOT had chicken pox before which you say you have. So you are ok.

scroll down the list for it about pregnancy hun. I googled a few sites & they all seem to say the same

Nothing wrong with carrying one of those antibacterial hand wash things with you just to be extra safe anyway hun . I bet she feels a little uncomfy tbh she might be worried about you too .
