so wrong of her to worry you like that, I saw mine yesterday at 17+3 and she said "I'm assuming you haven't felt movement yet, its still a bit early for your first" and was surprised when I said no, I'd started feeling the occasional flutter,

Don't stress, your bubs is fine!

She was wrong to worry you. I can't say 100% that I have felt baby move either. My friend didn't feel anything until 20 weeks, midwife told her "you have probably felt it but not realised" but nope she insists she didn't feel anything until 20 weeks xxxx

I don't understand why she said that, the baby is obviously fine as she can hear the heartbeat so why worry you by saying that about not feeling movement?? I wouldn't worry, as others have said, it's still early days. Some people just don't have social skills, I don't know why they choose to be doctors though! xx

total tosh. mate at work has just had her second, I asked her today, she felt her first at 22 weeks, and her second baby kick at 24 weeks! so the theory that 2nd mums feel earlier isnt always the case either!

silly moo. Clearly she needs to come to BNB!

Yeah hun it's fine if you haven't felt it yet! Especially since this is your first you have no idea what the kicks feel like, and they probably wont be strong enough to pick up on as movements. To me it feels like a strong "pulse" like feeling, though not continuous like the heart beating, just a single one at a time iykwim. I'm sure you'll be feeling your bean soon!

Everyone is different. I started feeling something at 17 weeks, but now, I feel her everynight, and she can be felt from the outside. This is my 4th pregnancy, but like I said, everyone is different! Good Luck!!

Thanks everyone - as people keep telling me, I have no prior experience, so even the odd twinges or gas bubbles I feel could be anything!

Will keep praying that everything is ok - countdown to 20 wk scan now *gulps*

Thats crazy!!! I didn't feel anything until 21 weeks and was warned that it may be 22-24 weeks since I have an anterior placenta. Now, 2 weeks later I can feel bubs every day as well as from the outside - me and OH have even seen my tummy move! But before 2 weeks ago - nothing! You will feel bubs soon!
xx
