My OH and I decided before we ever knew we were pregnant that if we ever had a boy, we'd name him Jerry Black III, as my OH is the II. I think it's great and of course so does OH but my mother and grandma seem to have such a problem with it. They keep saying things like "Let the baby have his own name" and "you won't want it to be that name when you two separate". The last one is ridiculous because we're very much in love and have no intention of separating. I just don't know what to do. Nothing I say keeps them from trying to make me feel like crap about the name. I absolutely love it but it's hard to be happy about it when people are being so negative
Definitely you and your OH's choice as far as your baby's name goes . I think with everyone, there is always going to be at least 1 person who dislikes or doesn't agree with names! But as long as you're fond of the name, i'm sure your baby will be fine with whichever name you choose!

Totally not their choice, ignore them. DH's family is mad cause we're using both of my grandmother's middle names if we have a girl (Rosa and Marie) and no names from their family. They can suck it up, it's not their kid.
