We've always liked Jake for a boy, we argued the girls name and kinda agreed on Jessica. I couldn't persuade him to go with Mia which was my first choice.

We chose the first names I came up with, my DH is Italian, so the girls were easy, but I had a hard time finding a boys. We chose Isabella McKaylynn and Joseph Frank

Gave DH the naming rights for his son(s). His name for this baby if it was a boy was Dakota William.

We discussed names for girls after we found out it was a girl on Monday. Both of us have traditions for same initials in our family (his DD1 has his initials, and my DD1 has mine; we both have children from prior relationships). He decided to let his dd be the only child with his initials and so we kinda just started picking out names that reflected my initials (SRS).

He rattled some names off the top of his head that DD and I didn't really like, and DD had some cute names that were not reflective of the SRS initials. (which wouldn't be a problem). I came up with the alternate spelling to reflect SRS (Sharlotte vs. Charlotte) and now we are trying to decide between Renee and Rose (or some other R name as middle name )

I have already learned - Never ever tell family the names you like, they will not like them ever time. I told my mother one name on the list and got back 'oh I don't like Claire' so from now on, I am keeping my mouth shut.

Hi, we are not sure if ours is a boy or girl yet and want to keep it as a surprise for the big day.
My step sons live with me and they are called Deakon and Ciaran, Deakon is very unusual and we tend to call him Deak.Might give others some ideas.

For boys im only liking 2 at the moment which are Lucas and Cooper.

For girls i have a few...Luka, Ava or Eva.
Not sure yet and it seems a long way off still plus my boyfriend isnt too keen on the names i like

I am also having Violet for a girl and her second name will prolly also be Nicole (cos I am her Mummy and that is my name) Ben Affleck's daughter is called Violet too. Seeing as you live in Austin, TX and I live in the UK I figure that it's okay if we both have girls called Violet?? I have always loved that name. I don't know what I am having yet until my next scan on the 21st Feb- so excited!!!

For a boy it will be Fletcher William, also a name that I we both love a lot.

My other son is called Zachary but he prefers to shorten it to Zach.

Good luck with baby names!
