The doc just called

My doctor just called a little while ago and told me the test for Downs Syndrom just came back possitive. He said it's probably nothing just that my date is off and I'm pretty sure it is but I'm so upset now I wasn't at first but then I had to tell my husband what he said. I have to go to Laffyette Louisiana to go to a specialist to do an ultrasound on Jan 21. I have another ultrasound this week on the 10th also my birthday so I'm really hoping they maybe able to help tell.

Dont stress too much. I have talked to so many people whos test came back positive and delivered perfectly healthy babies.

Good luck at your next scan!

Praying that all is well! Those tests have such a high rate of false positive. We decided not to do it, because of that reason.

I was doing research on the downs tests today (we had been talking to the doctor) and found out that (in Canada at least) only 2-3% of women who test positive for the prelim test actually end up having a downs baby. Will keep our fingers crossed for you that the news is good. Try and have a good birthday and not to stress too much, easier said I know. Hugs...

No one wants anything to be wrong with their baby, but downs isnt always as crippling as people think. People with downs tend to be a lot happier in life.

I know thats no consolation, but as people above said, there are a lot of false positives in these tests, and Im sure everything will be fine.

Fingers crossed for you hun

xxx
