How far gone are you?
You tried a pregnancy pillow?
I personally wouldnt worry over sleeping on your back, your better off sleeping which ever way can actually sleep rather than going night after night not sleeping. I slept on my back first pregnancy have this 1, i dont see problem with it.

oh this is horrid when it happens.!!!!!!
I used to get this ealy on in my pg but now all I ever do is flippin sleep.

Getting up to pee at night loads of times is a big problem of mine too.
Ive stopped having anything to drink after ten oclock. That might help.
Try having a warm bath before bed? Or you could get your self a relaxation CD. I find this helps loads.Try not to get too agitated with your self if you dont manage to drop off right away cause this will keep you awake even more.I suffered with Insomnia for a year and it was hellish.
I hope this helps.
Hope you feel better soon,
K

Hi, i feel exactly the same. Posted a couple of days back with (problems sleeping) didnt get much new advice but got lots of posts which helped my think was not alone and not going crazy. Its not the sleeping which bothers me its the anxious restless feeling i get and i just cant lie or sit still. just keep thinking it will all be worth it :-)

And I started a thread on this subject before Soooootired did!

I haven't found a solution, but I'm making the most of waking up to roll over, by going for a pee at that time! I get about two hours sleep between wakes now.

You're not going to get baby into a bad habit of anything. They sleep when they want to (and if I remember correctly it's around 12-14 hours a day just now).

Rather than a pregnancy pillow, try putting a regular pillow between your knees. That usually helps keep me on my side. As for the waking up constantly to pee... nothing you can really do about that except to not drink anything a few hours before bed. Personally, I can't do that. I'm too thirsty all the time.

Make sure you're not eating anything too high in sugar and stay away from caffeine drinks after about 5 or 6 in the evening (this includes coffee and tea).

If all else fails, call your midwife and ask if there's anything you can take.
