Eating my "5 a day" is hard work!!

Is anyone else finding it hard to eat their 5 a day? I'm bad enough when not pg but since being pg I've not fancied vegetables at all.

I'm basically trying to eat lots of fruit, drink smoothies and force-feed myself salad. It's rubbish when all I really want to eat is the rubbish stuff!

Has anyone got any tips for making the 5 a day thing easy?

I have a glass of fresh on in morning and also a banana in cereal or toast. I cut up an orange to snack on during the morning then have a dessert at lunch- strawberries and a yogurt. Then it's just a matter of something with dinner or as a snack, try freezing some grapes for an hour then they are like little ice lollys x

I dont think I ever really manage my 5 a day.

I eat pre-packed fresh fruit from asdas, 1 a day normally, pineapple grapes & kiwi / pineapple on their own.

I drink either fresh apple / orange with my tea.

The only veg I really like is red onion & lettuce so I tend to throw abit on my sandwhiches for lunch/ the wraps I make.

I certainly make much more of an effort now I'm pregnant but I dont think i'd be able to do 5 a day.

xx

I'm getting my five a day on orange juice and sweetcorn, which I don't think is very good really!!

I find fruit a lot easier than veg

Fruit juice and dried fruit are nice easy options that don't involve much prep.

Also, I found out a glass of Appeltiser counts as one of 5 a day YAY!

I really love veg, but was totally put off raw salads for the first tri so I have just gotten back into eating them. Also my mw mentioned that I need to drink more water, so I have been making a big pot of soup on sundays for lunches. Its usually a veg soup - this week I have curried yellow split pea with sweet potato and kale. Lots of veg!
Also I have made smoothies on and off, and try and put a handful of spinach in the fruit smoothie. Sounds gross, but you can't taste it at all and it adds more greens which I have been missing. I also make sure I load up sandwiches with tomato and cucumber whenever I can!
xx
