I'm having weird vision problems all of a sudden!! aaah!

Just this past hour, I started getting this flickering thing in the corner of my eye. When I try to read it makes it blurry. I have always had perfect vision. Is this normal during pregnancy or what should I worry? I don't know what is going on. I just have this flickering light or spots in the corner of my eye sort of the same feeling as when you see spots after the camera flash goes off. Thanks for any help.

you can get it from staring at the computer screen too long. i used to get those before pregnancy (hasn't happened once since i've been pregnant).
Just sit in the dark for a while and it should go away.

It's probably nothing, but I know that blurry vision and seeing spots are signs of preeclampsia, but I doubt that's the case. If it continues for a couple days i'd just call the doctor to make sure it's nothing

"When your body starts releasing the hormones for your muscles to relax the ones that focus your eyes do too, you shouldn't get your eyes tested when pregnant as the prescription would be wrong." I was told at work when i went for my free eye test right at the beginning and my sight was getting worse.

Hope that helps

hormones hormones hormones....

pregnancy is an all-encompassing discomfort-rama. At eight weeks my glasses stopped working and I had to switch to an older perscription. Doctor said it was normal.

I read that hormones can affect the size of our eyeball or somrthing, which affects the lesnse...maybe this is something that affects you too?

along with the hormones, the increase in blood volume also affects our eyes.

Very normal.
