I just wanted to post about a book I am finding really helpful. It is called Baby Bargins and is by Denise & Alan Fields. It's big selling point is to save money when preparing for baby. But I like it because it reviews different companies, and kinds cuts through all the BS of buying stuff for baby. There is also a website with a message board.

I, also, have this book and absolutely love it! It's been so helpful on what to buy and how to look for bargains. Very good book!

Anything that would be a lot of use in Canada, or in general?

I bet Canada has a lot of the same brands that we do down here. You could always have a look in your local big box bookstore.

Think I will do that, hopefully Chapters will have it.
