I'm Currently Feeling: | girls my doctor said its fine to have a limited amount of caffeine and ive also read it in a few books, so having a coke now and then isnt the end of the world.
dont beat yourselves up
150-200mg a day is considered safe ie a cup of tea, or coffee, or a coke ( here in israel) has 65 g of caffeine in it. i know in the us its a bit more per can, but thats still way under the limit and thats per day!
im not saying go crazy and have one every day but from the book it looks fine |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I forgot all about not having caffeine, but I don't like tea or coffee. So I'm not too worried about having a glass of coke every now and then. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | You'll be ok, just try to limit it! I still drink tea, but not everyday. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I find supplementing soda with other non caffienated drinks helps. Like whenever I crave a pepsi I will try to drink some juice and whenever I want coffee I drink tea. It's not easy though and I always give in but drink it alot less now. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I wouldn't worry about having one now and then. I still do. My little girl certainly moves a lot more when I do... But one thing I would recommend is to actually strongly limit or cut out diet soda. They have artificial sweeteners that we are supposed to stay away from. I had a list somewhere of all the kinds that are ok for the most part, and what are really bad, but I'm not sure where it is now. But like the NutraSweet or aspartame, and stuff like that that's in diet soda, isn't good for us or baby. Good luck tryin to limit it, its hard. I love a coke now and then. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | |To be honest, my GP never toldme anything about that and Ive been drinking it so Im not too worried. Ive realised its a waste of time to believe every tiny thing in magazines or the internet because most of its crap.
The one thing my GP and midwife did tell me to do though, was limit caffine to 2 cups of coffee a day, and I assume that applies with soft drinks so thats what Ive been doing.
If you dont feel comfortable drinking it, then dont. But if there was any real danger Im sure it would have been brought to your attention before now.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Daily limits
Caffeine is naturally found in coffee, tea and chocolate. It is also added to some soft drinks and "energy" drinks.
The 300 mg daily limit roughly equals:
4 average cups or 3 average size mugs of instant coffee
3 average cups of brewed coffee
6 average cups of tea
8 cans of regular cola drinks
4 cans of "energy" drinks
400 grams (8 standard 50 g bars) of normal chocolate |
