Glucose test

on the scale of 1-10, how disgusting is the drink that we need to gulp down???

I would say about a 4 or a 5. It really wasn't that bad. Mine was orange flavored, and VERY carbonated. It was cold, so that helped. You only have 5 minutes to drink it, so that kinda sucked, and you get a major sugar rush afterwards, but honestly...the taste isn't that bad..just like oversweetened orange soda.

Oh, the one nice thing about my midwife, she doesn't make me drink that stuff. She does it a totally different way, I think she mentioned something about a huge breakfast!

The reason I had one at 14 weeks is cause I am overweight. They wanted to test early to catch it early, if I had it. Luckily the results came out PERFECT! WOO HOO! I have to have another one at 24 weeks. Joy.

Mine is in my fridge so I can take it before I go in for my visit. Every time I open the fridge OH wants to drink it because it looks like orange soda

He says just tell them the bottle broke and get a new one!!

i had my glucose test at 12 weeks and it was fine, i think coz i live in the UK the drink is different they give us the original lucozade a whole bottle to drink (which i love and crave) so i had no problem drinking it, then i waited an hour and had my blood test done
